It is a horrible time in our country when bigotry and racism are accepted practices. We are Americans. We come from all walks of life and all races. This is the land of the free and the place where people from anywhere in the world can come pursue their dreams. This is not the place for those who pedal hate and insight violence in the name of patriotism. Freedom of speech is guaranteed in our constitution. However, expressing your freedom of speech should never meet with violence.
I am saddened by the events, my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Now more than ever we should all have a greater resolve to come together to be respectful of our differences and honor our diversity.
